I used to always assume these types of #homeprojects were so expensive. I found the perfect way to #organize a small pantry on a $15 budget, without compromising the purpose and aesthetic. Special thanks to @DollarTree for having the perfect items and storage #containers for my pantry.

If I could comprehensively put my thoughts into words, I’d have a collection of books. So I’ll just share a few digestible sentences of my thoughts here… 1. I’m grateful for friends (allies & POC) who’ve reached out to me. We’ve had tough conversations and loving conversations, all ultimately fueling growth. 2. Despite all of this: Through the endless tears, hurt, anger, sadness, pain, & exhaustion, I’m still, and will forever be UNAPOLOGETICALLY PROUD TO BE A BLACK WOMAN. 3. Unity starts with ‘U/You’ Use your voice, use your platform, use your influence. I don’t care if you have two friends or a million friends. YOU can be the change. Educate those around you. If you’re the one who needs to be educated, DM me. I’ve got some great resources for you. 4. If you don’t know what to say, pray and ask God to give you the words. If you’re afraid you’ll say the wrong thing, you’ll find out pretty quickly if you’ve said the wrong thing. 5. It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to feel uncomfortable. It really is okay. 6. I’ll continue to have these tough conversations and answer any questions that come my way. 7. I love my people. I support my people. #BlackLivesMatter#justiceforgeorgefloyd
We are BLACK WOMEN!🖤 ⠀ ⠀ We BUILD.⠀ ⠀ We don’t tear down other BLACK WOMEN… ⠀ ⠀ We have felt the pain of being torn down and We have decided We will be deliberate about building others!⠀ ⠀ 👑 ⠀ ⠀ All too often, we LADIES find it easier to criticize each other, instead of building each other up. With all the negativity going around let’s do something positive! ⠀ ⠀ 🙌🏾⠀
This week I was in Houston Texas, for work. The key to maximizing work trips is arriving as early as possible (on company dime) and leaving as late as possible (on company dime). The earliest I could arrive in this case, was at 8:30am, so I took the first flight out on Southwest. Once I arrived at Hobby airport, I had my driver take me to my hotel, Westin Galleria. This location was great because the hotel is in the middle of a huge mall! (This is a plus if you like to shop). Here are my likes and dislikes about Westin Galleria:
Likes:
– Great customer service
– Strong WiFi
– Room Accommodations – I like to stay on the highest floors in hotels, so they gave me a room on the 22nd floor, which I loved. Also, I forgot to bring my shaving razor, so the front desk staff brought one to my room.
– Breakfast in the Westin Club on the 24th Floor was nice
– Late night room service and early morning room service was convenient and delicious
Dislikes:
– Sometimes my room key didn’t work in the elevator
– The gift shop only sold XL bottles of water–I prefer 16oz options
– The ‘hotel restaurant’ is not inside the hotel. It’s actually in the mall. It’s called the Daily Grill, and it is about 2 doors down from the hotel exit once you’re in the mall. The food at the daily grill was about a 3 out of 5 stars.
Overall, the likes outweigh the dislikes, so I’d give this hotel 4 out of 5 stars.
